Welcome to our annual State of the Schools homepage. State of the Schools is a celebration of the incredible work being done year-round to support Burbank’s vibrant educational community. State of the Schools doesn’t belong to any one person or organization — it belongs to all of us. The event presents an opportunity for our community to learn more about BAEF’s work and hear about the status of Burbank’s public schools — all while raising money to support Burbank students.

Our 4th annual State of the Schools took place on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 from 5:30-8pm at the beautiful Woodbury University, an institution that serves as a shining example of educational excellence in our city.
The annual celebration serves two purposes: an opportunity for the community to learn about BAEF’s crucial work in Burbank schools and a chance to generate funds that will enable the organization to continue its vital presence in Burbank’s education system.
State of the Schools drew over 200 attendees, including corporate sponsors, local service organizations, and individuals passionate about TK-12 educational excellence in Burbank. Our supporters share a common belief in BAEF’s mission to support our students.
The event featured a silent auction, student performances, delicious food provided by Burbank and Burrough’s High Schools’ culinary arts programs, and a brief recognition ceremony. Thank you to everyone who attended and congratulations to our honorees!
