Phonics Program For RTI Edison Elementary

UFLI Foundation is a comprehensive, evidence-based phonics program that provides systematic, explicit reading instruction, enabling RTI staff to follow a sequenced scope for teaching phoneme-grapheme correspondences and essential decoding and encoding skills.

Camping Imagination Jefferson Elementary

Providing camping theme materials for the special education classroom including flexible seating.

Kindergarten Theatre Workshops Washington Elementary

This program includes a six-week theater and improv workshop for three kindergarten classes with a class presentation, and a twelve-week workshop for one class focused on foundational theater skills that will culminate in an evening performance of Mo Willems inspired plays.

TK Dramatic Play Center Roosevelt Elementary

Create a play center for the TK classroom that includes a play kitchen, baby/home center and objects for cleaning/home care

Chalk and Recess Art Roosevelt Elementary

Hosting a virtual author study event during National Poetry Month, where English Language Arts students will have the opportunity to learn from Newbery Award-winning authors and poets and participate in a poetry workshop.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Science Classroom Project Muir Middle

Adapt the science curriculum to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students with new materials.

Muir Empowered Muir Middle

A student mental-health conference will feature speakers on the impact of smartphones and social media, along with 25+ presenters from organizations like FSA, Didi Hirsch, and NAMI offering sessions on mindfulness, therapy, and coping with anxiety, grief, and depression.

Chill Room Muir Middle

A safe place for students during lunchtime on campus. Facilitated by the counselors, the use of arts and crafts and games provide a warm atmosphere for students who need to decompress.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Art Muir Middle

This Deaf art project brings ASL to life by having students use the language while painting their faces and hands to visually represent ASL concepts.

7th Grade Novels Muir Middle

Providing the novels Esperanza Rising, My Name is Aram, and One Crazy Summer to serve as core novels for 7th grade.

High School

IMA Instruments and Tools Burbank High

Providing BHS IMA, including the marching band with a new bass, a class set of tuners, a few more posture appropriate chairs and two folding tables.

Student Navigation Project Burbank High

Burbank High School’s Global Unity student leaders found a need on campus for directional, wayfinding signage so freshmen, newcomers, substitute teachers, and community members can easily locate rooms and key locations.

Smore Communication Burbank Unified School District

A year long subscription to Smore.com Teams, a newsletter builder for schools & districts. This allows all principals, the superintendent and several other district departments access to newsletter templates with drag-and-drop responsive formatting, a Brand Toolkit to help create branded school and district-level templates for consistency across all outreach, a shared space for communications from the district, easy language translation to foster inclusion, and WCAG 2.1- level AA accessibility features to ensure all families & staff can access the newsletters.
